El Viaje Del James Caird

The James Caird was the small lifeboat of the ship Endurance, which became a symbol of endurance and leadership during Ernest Shackleton's Antarctic expedition in 1916.

After the Endurance was destroyed by the pressure of the ice, Shackleton and five crew members embarked on an extreme journey of over 1,300 kilometers across the Southern Ocean, sailing from Elephant Island to South Georgia. That voyage, undertaken in brutal weather conditions, is considered one of the greatest feats of maritime survival of all time.
