The entire unit has the typical sculptural decoration of the region and of the period in the capitals and other architectonic elements. The model 40089 ROMANICA 12 reproduces the Arenillas de Ebro church in 1:50 scale. Arenillas de Ebro is a village church similar to the many churches in Valderredible (Cantabria), which dates from the 13^th century. It is formed by a single original nave with a rectangular apse which subsequently was enlarged considerably. The southern wall is decorated with a cornice supported by corbels with no sculptural decoration. Inside: pointed barrel vault without columns or capitals. The 40090 ROMANESQUE 13 model reproduces the Palace of St Mary of Naranco in 1:65 scale. This structure is located near the city of Oviedo, on ruins from the Roman era. It was originally constructed as a civil building during the reign of Ramiro, from 842 to 850. In the twelfth century it was converted into the Church of St Mary, although it had previously served as a church dedicated to St. Michael of Liño. From 1929 to 1934, an in-depth restoration was conducted, and several annexes were eliminated.

Technically it is an innovative building due to its barrel vault supported by ribbed arches, which replaced the wooden Visigothic roofs. Scale: 1:65

The ROMANESQUE 14 model 40091 reproduces the Church of San Pedro de Larrede in 1:65 scale. This building from the 10^th century was rediscovered in the 1920’s and interpreted as Mozarabic style with particular characteristics of the area of the Gállego river. Later it was catalogued along with the other churches in the area as a model of the Romanesque of the Aragon region, although it displays characteristics in common with the more widespread and universal Lombard Romanesque. It was declared a national monument in 1933, and restored on several occasions: 1988, 1991, 1997. Model 40092 ROMANICA 15 is a reproduction of the church of Santa Maria Maddalena of Osuccio (Italy) at a scale of 1:63.

The church is mentioned for the first time in a document dated 1169. It consisted of a rectangular building with an original wooden gabled roof and a semi-circular apse. The eccentric bell-tower dates back to 1400. During the Baroque period, the roof was replaced by a vault, and the original appearance of the rest of the building was also modified: a portico was added as well as other adjoining constructions. The 40093 ROMANICA 16 model is a reproduction of the church of Santa María de Lebeña in Cillorigo de Liébana to a scale of 1:84. Santa María de Lebeña is one of the most highly regarded, best conserved and most outstanding examples of Mozarabic style in pre-Romanic buildings in Cantabria. Its construction is associated with a legend about the Counts of Liébana in 925. The rectangular building with its three naves is supported internally by horseshoe-shaped Mozarabic arches and Corinthian capitals and gives the impression of being formed by various projections with individual roofs. The church’s crucifix stands at the east while the sacristy is to the north. The belfry, in the shape of a single tower, is of contemporary construction. Scale: 1:84

The ROMANESQUE 17 model 40094 reproduces the northwestern section of the cloister of the Monastery of St Benet de Bages in Sant Fruitós in 1:65 scale. St Benet de Bages was the most important monastery of its region, even more so than the Monastery of Montserrat. Although its origins in the late 8th century are unclear, it is quite likely that it was established directly under St Peters of Rome. As most Benedictine monasteries, St Benet was inactive as of the 14th century. After its public auction in 1845, the building was completely neglected. Its rooms were converted into housing for the workers of an adjacent factory until it was purchased in 1908 by the mother of the Modernist painter Ramon Casas, and restored by the architect Puig i Cadafalch. The Romanesque centre of the monastery comprises the church, the bell tower and the cloister. This area, with rooms along the perimeter, was the centre of all monastic life. The cloister consists of four galleries covered by a barrel vault. The monks rooms were probably located above this area. Scale: 1:65

The 40096 ROMANESQUE 19 model reproduces the basilica of Armentia in 1:110 scale. The building is located near the town of Vitoria where, long ago, there must have been a Roman roadway. There is evidence of the building since the 9^th century, although the present architectonic structure must be from the 12^th century. In 1773 major reforms were undertaken that changed its appearance. Therefore it is a monumental Romanesque building (due to its considerable size) that has undergone an in-depth reform. It has a noteworthy sculptural decoration.
